The trip starts with a nice short walk up to the glacier Sólheimajökull.
Here the guide will give you a short but important demonstration of how to properly use the glacier equipment. After you putting on this equipment you will head up the icy but easily accessible slopes onto your adventure, taking in the amazing surroundings on the way.

You will be provided with all the equipment that you need: ice axes, helmets, crampons, and safety lines.
Your certified glacier guide will show you how to use the equipment and give you a safety briefing before introducing you to the majestic ice wonderland.
STEP ONTO MYRDALSJÖKULL GLACIER

Your guide will drive you in a super jeep near the roots of the glacier Katla, the view will take your breath away!
Here you will then put on your crampons and helmets, and take a short walk to the opening of the ice cave.
