ÞÓRSMÖRK CLASSIC

Duration: 5 nights, 4 days riding

In this horseback riding tour, you’ll experience the diversity of Icelandic nature. We begin by doing a horseback riding tour to the glacier and then to the black beach. Then ride along trails through a grand wilderness. In the nature reserve, Thórsmörk (Þórsmörk), we explore the old forest and the mighty ravine Stakkholtsgjá which has been shaped by powerful glacial flash floods for thousands of years. In Þórsmörk we stay in mountain huts.

HEKLA WILDERNESS

Duration: 6 nights, 5 days riding

This is the perfect horseback riding tour for those who want to experience untouched wilderness.  In this tour, we do horseback riding on the southern highlands of Iceland nearby the volcano Hekla, Tindafjallajökull glacier and Eyjafjallajökull glacier. On our way, we sleep in huts which are used by the farmers during the annual herding of sheep in autumn. We’ll explore spectacular lava-fields and formations and towering mountains.

INTO THE HIGHLANDS

Duration: 5 nights, 4 days riding

This horseback riding tour takes you through magnificent nature into the highland of South Iceland, riding between mighty glaciers and the monstrous landscape of fire and ice. We ride across Fjallabaksleið Syðri, (The South-Mountain pass), onwards to Einhyrningur-mountain and the great canyon of Markarfljót river, with a fantastic view over valleys, highland lakes, and the untouched wilderness. We will spend the nights in mountain huts.

LANDMANNALAUGAR CLASSIC

Duration: 8 nights, 7 days riding

This horseback riding tour is suited for the experienced rider. We ride about 25-60 km, 6-9 hours per day. You’ll experience a great diversity in nature and get the chance to try different horses. The highlight is the geothermal hot-spot Landmannalaugar; a spectacular area, famous for its multicolored mountains in green, red and yellow, and a natural hot spring where we will ‘cool off’.
